Thankful for yesterday's rainfall. It finally feels like autumn!
The day was spent in the kitchen; purging, sorting and cleaning the pantry. Sounds dull, I know, but somehow
it leaves my heart filled with gratitude for a big task accomplished.
I always feel lighter after I get all those things done.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't sound dull at all.
ReplyDeleteCleaning spaces out leaves you with a great feeling of being productive. And the feeling when you open that closet, pantry, or whatever you cleaned out... priceless.

I love organizing! Recently I have been following some organizing blogs and have really gotten into the spirit of cleaning out closets and cabinets. Crazy thing to do right before the holidays!
ReplyDeleteThere is something about clutter clearing your space that clears your life and mind...
ReplyDeleteMy clutter becomes reality when my perfectionism becomes procrastination. (thats what I tell myself anyway. lol.)
ReplyDeleteit always feels good to sort and declutter. :)
ReplyDelete@All, guess the first thing I did this morning? Yep, opened the pantry door just to make sure I didn't dream that delicious, light feeling!
ReplyDelete@Karin, which blogs are you following? Any good recommendations?
ReplyDeleteJust had to let you know that you cracked me up with the "pinto beans in bulk" comment.

Annelie, again
It's always a good feeling, when we 'de-clutter'. There needs to be some of that done around here, too.
ReplyDeleteI find cleaning and organizing really cathartic at times, esp. when I feel I've accomplished something that needed to be done. Simple joys are often the most satisfying. :o)
ReplyDeleteI agree Cat, always feel good after accomplishing a big task like this. Xx
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration! It is a good feeling. I think I'll go clean my closet...
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great way to spend a rainy day. i always feel better when I can get a chore like that done.
ReplyDeleteI love doing chores like that! Makes me feel very organized, and my mind seems to get decluttered as well.
ReplyDeleteRain is good ... as is purging :) Do hope your Thanksgiving was grand!
ReplyDeleteThese are jobs I need to get at. I always few really rewarded after accomplishing them, even if the reward is just personal satisfaction.
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't sound dull to me. As I read it, I was getting a good, homey feeling. I myself have trouble keeping things organized, but I do try from time to time.
