These globe mallow just won't quit and I've taken to bringing them inside to enjoy. This sake bottle was saved on a whim and it's the perfect vessel for these sweet little flowers. Savoring every moment of spring and the blessings it brings...
It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want - oh,
you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just
fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!
~Mark Twain
This is so beautiful! I'm still on the lookout for this plant in SA. Might have to make the drive to Austin to purchase one.

ReplyDeleteSteph, they are like little apricot buttercups...If you head this way, give me a shout. Maybe we could meet up!
ReplyDeletebeautiful color, especially with that pale aqua bottle. i just learned about globe mallow a few months ago when i was at the grand canyon...as far as i know no one grows it in nc, but it is lovely. the twain quote is perfect.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, the color and simplicity are just right.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to grow these! I've loved them since I first saw them in the springtime desert near Las Vegas.
ReplyDeleteVery nice composition. I took a photo of a mallow growing in asphalt last summer in Wyoming. Same flowers but different species. Extremely hardy I should say.
