Rain has quietly and gently fallen for three days...not a typical Texas gully-washer but what I imagine must be more like a slow soaking of the Pacific Northwest. The ground literally heaves a sigh of relief and all the foliage that has looked so forlorn is responding with a gorgeous autumnal glow.
Oh, happy, rainy, cold day indeed!
we had an inch finally overnight, and more today so i hope it continues for a while! :)
ReplyDeleteHey Cat, coming there is gonna feel like going back in time (season wise) since we dont have any leaves left on the trees! Nice perspective in the pic!
ReplyDeleteI like that shot. It makes me want to go for a hike! Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt has rained all day here, and I feel the same way as you - rejoicing! I've loved looking outside at the rain falling. It's wonderful to have a nice soak!
ReplyDeleteSame here in southern Wisconsin, except our rain is a lot colder. Time for snow! (I never thought I'd say that, but cold rain goes right to the bones.)
ReplyDeleteIt's been the same way here in Boerne for the last 3 days and I LOVE it!! Today was a perfect fall/ winter day... I cooked all day :) As I walked around the property with the pups in between cooking and rain showers, I swear I could hear the earth inhale the rain. Such a lovely day. Thanks for sharing Cat :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you're getting some rain. I know Texas needs it badly! Beautiful picture, especially the burst of yellow in the middle. :)
ReplyDeleteMerry Rainday to you!
ReplyDeleteAmen to that!!!! We've had 3 days of rain up here, too, and it has been glorious! I can hear the ground singing as it soaks in the rain :-)
ReplyDeleteWonderful Cat! Enjoy it :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you!! It's way over due and I hope you get a lot more. :o)
ReplyDeleteThe ground is making a nice "squishy" sound here. Love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Cat, I am so happy for you and the great state of Texas. Days of rain at last! Hurrah!
ReplyDeleteI can just imagine how welcome the rain must be. Nice autumn colors on your trees.
