BTW: The wind just shifted a minute ago so we are now going D-O-W-N in temps like you all in Austin.
I just hope to not get a freeze tonight...'cause I'm not READY and the tender plants are all outside.
    Yipes!

  15. Sorry I'm late. Happy thanksgiving. Alison comes from a family of butchers in a well to do suburb of Sydney that has a few expat American business people and their families. They are probably the only butcher in Sydney to have a Thanksgiving trade.

    Hope it was great.

  16. Thank you debsgarden, it was wonderful. So much to be thankful for!

Sharon, thank you for finding your way to the whimsical gardener. So glad you stopped by and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to your blog ;-)

Joey I'm thankful for the connection I have with you also. Your creativity never fails to inspire and stir the soul!

No worries Paul. I rather like the idea of extending the season of Thanksgiving - I think it would make for a much happier world! Sounds like you had a nice meal too!

  17. Cat,

Kudo's to you for taking the time out of what was obviously a very busy time for you to notice and capture for all to see this lovely plant in bloom. Gardening is like life itself; a series of moments...one never the same as the next and if not noticed and savored, never to be repeated.

Thank you for taking the time to see.
