Thank you fer. We don't get a lot of fall color so much catch it when I can!
You're so right, Patty. It was a lovely moment captured. The lake was quiet and there was a nice breeze - it was a beautiful time at the lake.
Carol, I just love your poetic musings. You describe the world in such a beautiful way!
GWGT, this is a bittersweet time of year. I long for it all summer but when the realization of autumn really hits, it's sad. Fortunate for the beauty of the season though!
Thank you John. There is beauty in the details, isn't there?!
I love the heart image! Nature has so much to say if only we'd stop to listen and look. If the leaf had looked like a cookie, you might have ended up with the munchies instead of a great photo! :0)
Lovely photo, nice to see someone make the imperfect beautiful! Thanks for stopping by my blog, I have enjoyed dipping in to yours, and look forward to more great photos, though possibly fewer snakes ;-)
Can I hotlink to this image as an alternative example in my post? It might help clarify things to see an image displayed on two separate sites. I don't get a lot of hits to my blog, so you should be fine. And I won't take any credit for the photo or change it in any way. If it's ok, could you please leave a comment on the post saying it's fine to use as an example?
Dear NotSoAngryRedhead, Since this does make my head spin a bit and I'm somewhat confused, I asked a computer guru friend her opinion. She suggested that I not agree to the hotlink simply because of the bandwith issues. I'm not worried about you altering the image or claiming credit but I respect and trust her opinion and guidance. Feel free to link back to the post but I'm not sure that it would help in you trying to clarify the content of your post.
I'm grateful for these posts you've been doing lately as I'm learning a lot from them but this particular post, as I said, is going to require another reading.
p.s. @NotSoAngryRedhead, after another reading of your post and a little coaching from my friend, I clearly see what you're saying and again, so appreciate the valuable insight. Thanks again. Cat
No worries! I was just going to use one of yours as an example because you said it made your head spin, and honestly, it wouldn't have caused any bandwidth issues unless something really crazy happened like I got 300X more traffic than my busiest day. I haven't heard of any bandwidth limits on Blogger or seen any blogs go down due to excessive hits, which was the only reason I felt somewhat comfortable asking. I've seen blogs go down generally, but it's only been when the blog owner hit the news like CNN or something. Anyway, it's not a big deal. I'm glad you got it figured out!
Joene thanks so much for your generous compliment! I'm glad you enjoyed looking around and found the time spent worthwhile. I hope you'll be back.
@NSAR, thanks for understanding. It's clear that you have a much broader understanding of how all this works and I'm so glad to have found your blog. I'm so blown away by the quality of writing and the depth of knowledge. I feel like I've just stumbled into this amazing world called the blogosphere and I'm still a bit in the dark and finding my way. Again, your posts have been really helpful.
Very nice photo! love the colors
ReplyDeleteLovely moment.
ReplyDeleteWell, I guess we can all expect a broken heart or two downstream. May they always float as lightly as your poetic illustration here. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful leaf. Too bad it will soon be gone, no wonder the broken heart.
ReplyDeleteAnother very well proportioned shot! You have such a great eye for detail!

ReplyDeleteTS, Yes, anytime is a great time to stop and be present in the moment but my soul is immensly satisfied when I take the time in the fall.
Janet, I enjoyed your blog as well and appreciate you stopping by and leaving a thoughtful comment. I promise, not too many snakes!

ReplyDeleteLove this photo and many of the others in previous posts. I could do without the snakes though!
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful photographic eye.
