What a lovely bloom in December! Water lilies are so pretty and your photos definitely capture all their beauty. Love to get together over the holiday! :)
Your talent for photography is amazing!!! Gorgoeus, gorgeous photos, as usual!!! When we lived in SC there was an always-full drainage pond behind the Winn Dixie that would fill with water lillies. The first time I saw them, having never seen water lillies before, I gasped and nearly caused my husband to wreck the car. Thanks for allowing me to view them again in the safety of my own home!! :o)
Such amazingly lovely pictures! And a truly heartwarming quote to accompany them :)
I'm hoping my first-ever water lily will produce a flower for me. It's growing in a small basin in a sunny spot, but seems to be taking it's time about establishing itself.
Thanks so much Jennifer - Merry Christmas to you and your family too!
Sandra, Thank you...we were all together tonight and there were many beautiful moments. We miss you.
Thanks Amy - I can't believe it is still blooming!
Merry Christmas Meredehuit!
Thanks Mary - Pooh makes me smile too ;-)
Thanks TS. If I'd been driving a car when I spotted the bloom in the stock tank I would have wrecked...it was such a surprise in late December! Merry Christmas!
Thank you Desiree...When I bought my lily they recommended fertilizer tablets that you feed the plant once a month...apparently they are very hungry! You might give that a try if you haven't already.
Thank you Carol!
I hope you do Gail, they are delightful and never fail to make me smile!
Check out these birdhouses!!! I'm a huge fan of childrens literature, having spent 10 yrs teaching Reading/Writing before being thrust into science, and love Pooh and the Wizard of Oz. I love your Pooh quotes above the comments section and thought of you when I saw these!! Expensive, but so much fun!!!!
Lovely words and very beautiful macro images.
