  7. One of my favorite signs of spring is seeing the fronds unfurling! You captured it beautifully!

  8. @PatientGardener, if you can, use manual focus and move yourself back and forth until image comes into focus instead of the camera trying to track it and focus. Then deep breath, hold and tuck your elbows in...these tips helped me to get better shots. Hope this helps.

    Thanks Karin, ferns are some of my favorite and I feel so blessed that we can even grow them here in Central Texas!

  13. Is that a fiddlehead? That's one of the first signs of spring in our yard, but it will be away. We're expecting another blizzard tonight. Thanks for sharing your spring.

  15. Hi Cat...I've been so busy in the garden that I haven't had time to visit much lately. But I caught up this evening...there *is* so much happening in your garden this spring! It's all so lovely and you always capture it beautifully. Your garden must be quite beautiful with all the different plants you nurture. I love your new blog title photo of the Japanese maple. Yes, I agree, we are likely in for a long, hot, brutal summer :/ Pray for rain!

    @Greggo, thanks so much!

    @Janine Robinson - that is a nice way of putting it.

    Sarah, Wow, more snow! That's amazing. It's a river fern...and unbelievably, it likes our dry climate.

    Thanks Rick, it does say spring for sure :)

    Hi Diane, Yes, definitely pray for rain - we need it desperately. You have been busy. You're going to have a bountiful crop this year! I look forward to you sharing the recipes you use ;)

    Henrietta, I'll tell it you said so :)

    Hi Fawne, thank you!
