Those colors and that composition are gorgeous! I love the Aspens and clear skies of CO. We've had kind of muggy weather here in Maine but at least it's warm.
When Cindy and I lived in Colorado we used to drive to Buena Vista this time of year just to see the aspen turning. Of course, I had to do a little fly fishing also. Beautiful portrait. There just is something about the altitude and temperature that makes the colors so vivid.
I just got back from a visit to Denver and Boulder with my youngest son, and I have yellow shimmering aspens against a bright blue sky in my memory bank. So this was really timely!
You're probably already back in Austin, but if not, I recommend taking I70 from Vail to the Frisco exit, head south and take that road until it ends in Fairplay, turn left and take highway 285 back into Denver. Very nice tree views...

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Catherine!
ReplyDeleteThat's a perfect fall photo. Bright blue skies and colourful trees set against the drying grass. Just wonderful.
