  2. Autumn crocus perhaps? I do appreciate the light at this time as it is low in the sky and casts a softer hue. I enjoy a nap on the couch when the sun peeks through the window on a weekend afternoon.

    1. Hi Patty, This is Madame Ganna water lily although I've been admiring autumn crocus on many blogs. I'd like to add them to the garden as I'm sure they would be charming in photos. Your comment brings a smile. The shadows in our house right now are so pretty. I enjoy the imagery that comes to mind from your comment...maybe a good book and cup of tea pre-nap?

  3. Water Lilies are so photogenic aren't they? Especially with your creative and perceptive eye, Cat.

  5. I clicked in fully expecting Election Day butterflies but was not disappointed by the flower "in lieu of" flutter bys. What gorgeous color and I love the gradations on each petal. Simply stunning. A lovely time of year and it is good to capture memories of these golden afternoons to bank against gray days yet to come.

  8. Gorgeous Cat. I too, wondered whether it was an autumn crocus or waterlily. It was so great to meet you on the tour. I do hope you get a chance to make it to SF for the Fling. It would be great to get to know you better.
