North Wind Blowin' - Winter Eve

  5. Hi Cat,
That image is lovely! Is it a photograph? I don't think I've read any George R.R. Martin, but he's an author I recognize because my husband has.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Merry Christmas!

  6. How fun! How'd you do that? The cold wind must be blowing from up here--we just got 14 inches of snow and now it's very cold.

    1. 14" of snow! How awesome to have a white Christmas! It was so windy that I wanted to capture the movement of the trees so I used a slow shutter speed. I was happy with the outcome ... somewhat like an impressionistic painting :)

  8. This illustrates (just) one reason I enjoy this blog so thoroughly. On a windy day, I'd go out and try to take shots and get frustrated at all the blurry photos. Cat, you go out and make a masterpiece out of what IS. Thanks for sharing your gifts and special viewpoint with the rest of us, lady! And...have a lovely holiday season, windy or still.

  12. That is fantastic, looks like a painting. and so appropriate for me right now - that wind is howling out of the north tonight and shaking this old house like a leaf.

Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind.
"Pooh!" he whispered.
"Yes, Piglet?"
"Nothing," said Piglet, taking Pooh's paw. "I just wanted to be sure of you."
