Hi Cat, That image is lovely! Is it a photograph? I don't think I've read any George R.R. Martin, but he's an author I recognize because my husband has.
14" of snow! How awesome to have a white Christmas! It was so windy that I wanted to capture the movement of the trees so I used a slow shutter speed. I was happy with the outcome ... somewhat like an impressionistic painting :)
This illustrates (just) one reason I enjoy this blog so thoroughly. On a windy day, I'd go out and try to take shots and get frustrated at all the blurry photos. Cat, you go out and make a masterpiece out of what IS. Thanks for sharing your gifts and special viewpoint with the rest of us, lady! And...have a lovely holiday season, windy or still.
That is fantastic, looks like a painting. and so appropriate for me right now - that wind is howling out of the north tonight and shaking this old house like a leaf.
Just wanted to leave a note of thanks for reading/commenting on my posts. Looking forward to reading more of yours in the new year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours!
Hi Cat, What a magnificent photo. You must frame that one for your home! Beautiful. I'm just stopping by to wish you a Happy New Year for 2013. Here's to many more gardening adventures in the year to come. David/:0)

How fun! How'd you do that? The cold wind must be blowing from up here--we just got 14 inches of snow and now it's very cold.
