Autumn Reflections :: Turnin' From the Past, At Last

Now the wren has gone to roost and the sky is turnin' gold
And like the sky my soul is also turnin'
Turnin' from the past, at last and all I've left behind

  3. Yes, definitely a transition time. I'm turning inward as the seasons shift. Time for a good crochet project, a roaring fire, and a good book! Beautiful photo!

  5. Lovely post Cat. And it so accurately reflects my current mood and feelings as we prepare to leave Michigan for the winter. Your posts *always* resonate with me. I'm so happy to see you are still blogging.

  8. Gorgeous abstraction in the puddle and good use of sepia tone. It feels like an old photo and fits the verse well.

  9. I think this is less about autumn and more about letting go. Beautiful post. :o)

  10. Casa, this is absolutely about letting go. So thankful for this season of releasing the things that, in reality, can't and shouldn't be held onto so tightly. Here's to joy!

  11. Late to the party (but here at last!) - a change in email for me without updating here meant I missed this when originally posted. My loss!

This image is so compelling Cat. It is a perfect companion to the lyrics and both are perfectly well suited to the time of year. You really have a gift, not "just" for photography but for finding and combining your images with text in ways that enhance both. I too am really truly happy you are posting again.
