Impulsivity

  1. Impulsivity :: a predisposition toward rapid, unplanned reactions to internal or external stimuli without regard to the negative consequences of these ...
  2. Annual moonflower vine wants sun; my garden has little, reseeds readily; we're short on space and I've yet to find a home for her but all that aside, I'd say the acquisition was nothing short of brilliant.
  3. A camera and a penchant for fragrant, hand-sized flowers can make an impulsive purchase appear as if it were a perfectly rational plan...

  1. I've come to believe rationality has little to do with gardening. Not in Texas.

Your garden has moonflower, my front bed has a datura that leans unacceptably out over the driveway, except... It is those leaning branches that feature their own brilliantly white flowers opening up to echo each evening's stars. Here's to pale blossoms under nighttime skies!

  2. I have the sun your moonflower needs. Do you think it would like it over here? Save me some seeds for next year and I'll give it a try because I like its looks.

  3. Stunning, Cat! I remember viewing Datura draping down from a support at a garden center in Florida in March. I was thinking what a wonderful bloom it would be for a night garden. Your images are magical!

  4. I started several moonflower vines from seed this year, but somewhere along the seedling stage something ate them all up. No sweet moonflower scent for me this year.
