  2. Your pictures are so beautiful. You should definately take advantage of the free calendar offer at Vista Print. It would be a great gift for people to receive. The hard part would be picking only 12 shots.

  6. Thanks so much for your generous compliments. I shot the photos of this flower right before we left to go camping for Thanksgiving. I was supposed to be packing and the light was hitting the pavonia just right and I couldn't resist. I'm so glad I didn't! I have more shots that I'd like to blog about soon. Maybe when the days get really gray and we need a little happy!

  7. Beautiful perspective and light on this Cat ! (I read your last comment too - I would have been in serious trouble had I been caught doing that ;-)

  8. Would that be a Hibiscus family species native to USA? We have a Hibiscus tiliaceus which bloomed as the last camera died. Waiting patiently for the next blooming. Ours is clear true yellow. Lacking those beautiful burgundy veins!

  9. Ha - LOL Rick! Yes, I would have been in trouble too. Luckily, I was alone (which I find to be the best time to take photos)!

Yes Diana, it is a member of the Hibiscus family. Sorry to hear about your camera...looking forward to seeing your next set of blooms. I love that we share so many of the same plants!
