Spring has sprung and I, along with the rest of Central Texas, have a wicked case of spring fever. The projects, chores, to-do lists, and the desire to enjoy the warm weather has my head swimming and it's difficult to stay focused. What's a girl to do?
BREATHE
Focus
ENJOY!
I love your header photo!!! I'm breathing and enjoying this beautiful weather.
ReplyDeleteI don't miss allergy season in Texas! I hope it passes quickly for you. Great graffiti bridge. Is that the one in Zilker Park?
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy. Went for a walk around Lady Bird lake last week and the Red Buds were just beginning to pop out and I thought it might make for a nice spring header!
ReplyDeleteHi Karin, this bridge is east of Zilker closer to downtown. It always makes me smile. They have done a lot of renovations along Lady Bird lake (aka Town Lake). I hope to post in the near future some of the changes they've made. So busy now in the garden that I'm having a hard time photographing and posting! Fortunately, I don't suffer from the allergies (knock on wood) - I've been here 26 years and so far so good ;)
I thought at first you had photo-shopped the words onto the picture, but then I realized the bridge is painted with that wonderful inspiration and graphic!
ReplyDeleteYes, Laurrie, it is a wonderful inspiration. Can you imagine how they did that?!
ReplyDeleteI completely understand! Spring fever here, too! Warm days - with so much to do. I'm loving it! Just taking one day at a time. It'll all get done eventually.
ReplyDeleteGreat sign and good thoughts. There are always so many things to do at once in spring it's hard to figure out where to start.
ReplyDeleteBreathe. I sometimes forget when I see your stunning photos. I stopped breathing when I saw your header. Thank you for the reminder. :) I like it so much, I might just paint those words somewhere visible.
ReplyDeleteYou're right Holley, it will all get done that needs to get done. Enjoy the warmth!
ReplyDeleteHi Marguerite, As Holley suggested, I'm going to try to just take it one day at a time and get something done!
I like your idea One to paint the words somewhere prominent. The image caught me so the other day that I just felt I couldn't be the only one feeling so rushed...we need to breathe! And thank you for the generous compliment about my images. You are too sweet ;)
Love that bridge! What a great reminder to Breathe!
ReplyDeleteYes Cat, breathe and enjoy the beautiful weather! Nature is meant to be enjoyed...it just reminds me that spring will soon come for me. Thanks
ReplyDeleteCat...I *love* your use of the word "wicked"! I grew up in New England (but got to Texas as fast as I could) and wicked is such a NE expression but I love it! It implies intensity and a deep passion. And those feelings come through loud and clear in your photos and posts! This one says it all...when one is not sure what to do...stop...and Breathe. The path soon becomes clear.
ReplyDeleteAustin looks like such a cool city!! or you sure make it look that way!
ReplyDeleteNice new header, Cat. I need to focus and update my blog links. Don't worry, I'll be breathing the whole time.
ReplyDeleteWe have to enjoy the doing...the process...instead of just pushing to get to the end result. This time of year can be such a frenzy of activity. I was in a nursery today and just stopped to breathe in all of the fragrance in the greenhouses :-) If you read my post today, I think I should add this "breath, focus, enjoy" as well :-) Wise words, too.
ReplyDeleteAh yes, Spring Fever! That would be why my head is buzzing and I am at my computer at 6am rather than in bed asleep! Good luck with the focus and breathing, and thank you for the reminder to enjoy it all and not allow it to overwhelm. How lovely to see uplifting graffiti!
ReplyDeleteLIke you said breathe, focus and ENJOY you lucky woman and give us spring photos:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ginny!
ReplyDeleteSpring is surely on its way to you Ramona!
Thanks Diane, I grew up on the east coast (like you, getting here as quick as I could) and we said wicket a lot! Probably too much ;) and it just so perfectly described how I felt. You pick up a lot of subtleties!
@Laguna Dirt, Come visit anytime! Austin is a very cool city to call home.
Thanks Bom! Breathing is GOOD!
Toni, I'll check out your post today. I'm heading out to buy a bunch of plants for a client so will remind myself to stop and enjoy the moment...no mosquitoes or oppressive humidity!
Me too Janet! My head is buzzing but I love it! I just don't want to squander the time before our intense heat sets in.
Henrietta, I know you're still blanketed in snow but spring will come and until then I'll try to keep you warm with sunny shots ;)
Perfect words for the end-of-winter blahs.
ReplyDeleteSuperb new header, Cat ! And I like what your eye saw and lens captured in this shot.
ReplyDeleteKudos to the anonymous artist too.
