30 Day Challenge ~ Thanksgiving ~ Day 18

One of the best things about being part of the 2012 Travis County Master Gardener class is the camaraderie among the interns.  During the ten week course, I met a bunch of new friends who love to talk dirt!

A really thoughtful intern brought little cups of bluebonnet seedlings for the class on the last day.
He also brought seeds to exchange.  I'm looking forward to sowing seeds of Evening Sun
sunflowers and Purple Ruffle basil.

Today I'm thankful for all of the wonderful people I met during the Master Gardener training
and I'm really grateful to be a Master Gardener intern!

  5. Congratulations on your accomplishment! You will find Master Gardening to be a very rewarding experience. I became a MG almost 5 years ago, and I have made some dear friends of like minded gardeners. In fact we named our little study group of seven women "The Soil Sisters"... the inspiration for the title of my blog!

  9. Congrats on becoming an MG!! The best part about it is that you are always learning something new and growing as a gardener, lots of great people involved, too. I got gobs of bluebonnet seeds from a neighbor friend of mine, so I'm excited to see if I get any germinating this fall/winter. My larkspur and poppies are already germinating. We haven't even had winter yet and I'm already excited about spring!
