Life slows down...just for a moment.
A clean slate...
and new perspectives....
it's quiet...just for a moment.
Some time to reflect on the gift of an unexpected snow day.
A peaceful early morning walk with my husband and our joyful companion while the children sleep.
And now as we return home the house is filled with sunshine and the laughter of children and the aroma of pancakes...it's quiet no more! Life is good.
Lovely pictures!
ReplyDeleteLovely shots!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! I would love to take that little walk
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos of your snow! Your kids made breakfast? How wonderful! Mine would be sleeping until at least noon. It would be more like brunch, LOL!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics. I got pancakes when I returned from my walk as well!
ReplyDeleteVery lovely photos. What a nice time to spend with your husband enjoying the change of scenery.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. You live in a lovely spot and have an eye for texture and light. p.s. We had migas and cappuccino for our snow day brunch.
ReplyDeleteYou really take the most beautiful pictures. Can't wait to visit your little haven! Are you down for GAGG.
ReplyDeleteVery peaceful. Hope the kids enjoyed the snow.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are some of the best I've seen on any blog -- I really look forward to them. Love the wiry seed head and the berries above the post!
ReplyDeleteIt does seem quieter when it snows, doesn't it -- and romantic :-) How sweet that you got to take a walk with your hubby. I have thoroughly enjoyed my little hibernation time while the snow piles up outside. Beautiful pictures -- they quiet the soul :-)
ReplyDelete@All, it's been a relaxing day of good cheer! Thank you for taking the time to comment...each is like a small gift. You have become a special community of friends that I eagerly look forward to hearing from and visiting with on your blogs.
ReplyDelete@Lancashire Rose, No Jenny I haven't had the courage to sign up for the GAGG...it's all a bit intimidating to me but I will get my nerve up eventually...if anything, just to have Philip draw a picture for me!
Weather is screwy everywhere! Good for you making the best of it.
ReplyDeleteI see you were out making the most of the snow before it is gone. You got some beautiful shots, especially the one through the window.
